Who doesn’t love a cheap holiday? If you’re looking to get away in 2019 but haven’t gotten the slightest clue on where to head, Penang is believed to be one of the most Pocket friendliest destinations in the world, No kidding! Drawing nearly four million tourists each year, if this ain’t good news for the budget-friendly travellers, we don’t know what is!
From the mainland, crossing the channel is a 10-mile journey over aquamarine water with ample time to admire the approaching cityscape of beachside high-rises set below mountains of the uninhabited jungle, not to mention is an attractive colonial-era capital—and UNESCO World Heritage site encompassing a fusion of British, Chinese, Indian and Malay cultures which brings about an eclectic mix of architecture and dining styles. Hidden among the narrow streets are some of South-East Asia’s best street art.
So who decided Penang was the 19th cheapest destinations in the world exactly?
